Three’s Program (ages 2-3)- Garden Room
Our older 2s and 3s students are developmentally ready to navigate a classroom with a larger group of children successfully.
Separation, socialization, exploration of materials, and language development are goals for children in this program. We establish clear routines and expectations for children to feel safe and comfortable during their time in the classroom. Their daily routine involves a “work” period, snack, meeting, story time, music and movement, and outdoor time in the yard.
Curriculum is age-appropriate and driven by the children’s interests and curiosity. We read books, facilitate conversations, sing songs and offer a variety of projects based on the area of interest. They also collaborate on group projects, such as creating murals and writing stories.
The Garden Room consists of up to 15 children and 3-4 teachers from 8:50 AM to 11:50 AM 5 mornings a week. There is an opportunity for children to stay for lunch in the spring semester.
